Jose Diaz-Balart joins Saturday’s NBC Nightly News as full-time anchor starting August 6. Diaz-Balart, who will continue anchoring Telemundo’s Noticiero Telemundo and Enfoque con Jose Diaz-Balart, had been rotating in the position since November. “This is a significant moment for the broadcast and a true testament to Jose’s many talents,” said Janelle Rodriguez, SVP editorial, NBC News. “He will now hold the historic distinction of occupying preeminent anchor positions on two major broadcast networks in two languages.”

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’s live broadcasts during the RNC and DNC political conventions (or “The 2016 Trumpublican Donational Conventrump Starring Donald Trump as the Republican Party* *May Contain Traces of Republican,” and “The 2016 Democratic National Convincing A Technically Historic Event: Death. Taxes.
