New NBC drama series Chicago Justice has found its showrunner: Michael S. Chernuchin. The move brings Chernuchin back into the Dick Wolf fold, after stints as a producer-writer on Law & Order, which he ran from 2002 to 2004. He was also an EP on Criminal Intent.

The Dr. Oz Show has been renewed through the 2018-19 television season. The syndicated series is now set to air through its 10th season. The renewal comes via a deal between distributor Sony Pictures Television and Fox Stations Group, which carries the show in the largest U.S. markets.

Comedy Central has named its next celebrity roast victim: Rob Lowe. “Rob Lowe is handsome, talented, successful and handsome,” said network president Ken Alterman. “He needs to be roasted.” Added Lowe, “What a thrill to once again be following in Justin Bieber’s footsteps. I look forward to a night of hilarious jokes recycled from the James Franco Roast.” A taping and air date has yet to be announced.

Country music’s wildest party of the year turned it up a notch as hosts Erin Andrews and J.J. Watt led a star-studded event at the 2016 CMT Music Awards. Carrie Underwood owned the night with the most wins in the show’s history, a grand total of 15, including “Female Video of the Year” and “CMT Performance of the Year” for “Smoke Break.” Tim McGraw scored his first-ever “Video of the Year” win, marking his first win since 2005. Blake Shelton nabbed the inaugural CMT #SocialSuperstar Award, honoring artists who are pioneering social media as a tool to regularly interact with fans.

FOX is aiming to raise the cost of Super Bowl advertising to a new high. According to a report by Variety, FOX Sports is seeking more than $5 million for a 30-second commercial in its 2017 broadcast of the nation’s most-watched annual TV event. In 2014, NBC bid to sell Super Bowls commercial spots for $4.5 million each, a 12.5 percent increase from what FOX sought the year before. The net worked until a few days before the telecast to sell out is inventory.

News special BET Remembers Muhammad Ali: The Memorial Service, airs Friday, June 10 at 2p on BET and Centric and live streams on BET.com and Bet Now App. Marc Lamont Hill will anchor coverage of the memorial service and be joined in studio by guests who’ll share reflections and commentary. The coverage will be carried nationwide on Bounce TV beginning at 9a with Ali’s farewell procession through the streets of his hometown. Niecy Nash and Betty Gilpin will guest star on multi-episode arcs of the fourth season of Showtime’s Masters of Sex. Food Network’s line-up scored with viewers Tuesday night beginning with the 8p premiere of Chopped Junior, which posted a 0.5 rating (470,000 impressions) among A25-54, a gain of 17 percent vs. year-ago, and ranked fifth in the time period among ad-supported cable.  The junior competition also saw a triple-digit gain of 243 percent among Kids 2-17 vs. year-ago.
