The TV Land Icon Awards will honor legendary TV creator Norman Lear and “pop culture icon” John Stamos in a ceremony taking place April 10 and airing Sunday, April 17 at 9p. The Beach Boys, with whom Stamos has frequently played in the past, will perform a medley of their hit songs as part of the Grandfathered star’s tribute.

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz will make his first visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday, March 30. Should be interesting  last week the ABC late nighter ran an ad parody pointing out the “differences” between Cruz and rival Donald Trump. “This is key,” says the narrator. “Ted Cruz has called for carpet bombing terrorists until the sand glows in the dark. Whereas, Donald Trump doesn’t have any position on whether the sand should glow.”

Discovery’s Motor Mondays are proving to be a ratings driver. Street Outlaws: New Orleans scored a three week high with a 1.35 P25-54 rating with 2.10 million total viewers P2+ on March 21 in L+3. The series remained Monday’s top unscripted cable Prime telecast (excluding sports) for the fifth straight week in M25-54 and the fourth straight week in M18-49. Misfit Garage was up week-to-week and notched season highs across all 25-54s, all 18-49s, P12-17, P2+.

The season two finale of TV Land‘s Younger reached series highs in Live+3, netting 1.3 million total viewers. Among A18-49 the season average was up 64 percent versus season one; among A25-54 it was up 70 percent. The median audience age is 12 years (ahem) younger, at 46, than TV Land’s channel prime average, and four years younger than season one.
