The White House is moving to LA. Handed $6.5 million in tax credits by California, Veep is relocating production after four years in Maryland, announced HBO. “Maryland has been home to many vital HBO projects, from The Corner to The Wire to Game Change, and the support has always been extraordinary,” said a net spokesperson. “We look forward to returning with another production in the future.” The tax incentive was part of a new $330 million program intended to bring projects and jobs back to Hollywood.

Comcast founder and Chairman Emeritus Ralph Roberts died June 18 of natural causes. He was 95. The entrepreneur and philanthropist started Comcast in 1963, with the purchase of a small cable system in Tupelo, Mississippi.
