A year and a half after joining Yahoo as global news anchor, Katie Couric has renewed her contract, confirmed her spokesman on Friday. There had been speculation that Couric, who was co-host of Today when Andy Lack was president of NBC News, might rejoin NBC now that Lack has returned to the network.

Turner Classic Movies will honor actor Christopher Lee with an eight-film tribute Monday, June 22, that includes 1957’s The Curse of Frankenstein and 1958’s Horror of Dracula. Lee passed away June 11 at age 93.

Game 4 of the NBA finals on ABC was up 32 percent in viewers (19.8 million) and 27 percent among A18-49 (7.6/26) versus last year. On average, the finals are tracking as the series’ most-watched performance on ABC and the biggest overall 4-game average since 2001.

The premiere of CNN series The Seventies on Thursday beat the cable news competition at 9p among viewers A25-54 with 291,000, versus 278,000 for Fox News and 94,000 for MSNBC. CNN was the only cable news network to increase (up 29 percent) in the news demo versus last year. In total viewers Fox News was first with 1.95 million, followed by 887,00 for CNN and 647,000 for MSNBC.
