FX’s Justified scored the most Critics Choice Television Awards nominations for a regular series, with five, a number matched by HBO limited series Olive Kitteredge. Tied with four nominations each: FX’s The Americans, HBO’s Bessie, CBS’s The Good Wife, Amazon’s Transparent and PBS’s Wolf Hall. HBO grabbed the most nods overall, with 27, followed by FX’s 16. Female-focused Lifetime announced the launch of Broad Focus on Tuesday, an initiative designed to provide women with more opportunities to write, develop, produce and direct for the net. “There is a large, untapped well of female talent out there and we want to remain first in line to that source of creativity,” said Nancy Dubuc, President and CEO, A+E Networks. Broad Focus will be showcased on-air through sponsored short-form content about women filmmakers, as well as with short films directed by women in partnership with marketers.
