Telemundo and NBC Universo announced plans for 560 hours of soccer in 2015, including 344 hours of online and mobile live-streams. It’s the first time all matches of four FIFA Soccer Events are being made available in Spanish nationwide; editorial will focus on storytelling around the development of future soccer stars. The first FIFA tournament will feature the Men’s U-20 national teams, hosted by New Zealand from May 30-June 20.

Almost six weeks into his six-month suspension from NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams made his first public appearance, for a fundraiser to help his endangered Catholic high school alma mater. The 1977 graduate of Mater Dei Prep School in Middletown, NJ was greeted with “warm hugs,” one attendee told community paper The Two River Times. “Everyone was telling him how much they support him.”  Williams donated $50,000 to a fund to help save the school.

Connie Britton (Nashville) joins the cast of FX miniseries American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, as Faye Resnick, friend of the former football star’s murdered ex-wife. The spring finale of ABC Family’s Baby Daddy was the series’ number two telecast of the season in the target W18-34 demo, winning its cable time period. For the season, Baby Daddy stood as cable TV’s top series in the half hour among W18-34 and F12-34. Based on available full week of viewing, Baby Daddy jumped 59 percent in total viewers to 1.2 million and by 58 percent among A18-49, to788,000.
