Here’s one way to drum up interest for a new series: Leading up to the premiere of Bravo’s social experiment docu-series Friends to Lovers, the net commissioned a survey from Research Now asking if the risk of dating a best friend is worth the reward of finding love. And? 76 percent of men are open to a romantic relationship with a friend, versus 58 percent of women, while 19 percent of both sexes said they’d rather date their first cousin than their best friend. As for straight men with a best friend who’s a man: 27 percent said they wished they were gay so they could date him. Friends to Lovers premieres Monday, January 12 at 10p.
