Guest host Karrueche Tran made a comment about the child’s “thoughts” during Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, saying, “I really did wake up like this, because my parents never comb my hair,” adding, “Sorry, Blue! I love you!” BET’s president of music programming and specials, Stephen Hill, publicly apologized on Twitter and also reached out to Beyonce and Jay Z privately.

Famed comedienne Joan Rivers was rushed to New York’s Mount Sinai Hospital, after she stopped breathing during throat surgery on Thursday. According to reports, the 81-year-old host of Fashion Police was undergoing surgery on her vocal chords at a clinic on the Upper East Side.  E! later announced that River’s condition had been upgraded from critical to stable.
