Christopher Walken (Deerhunter) will play Captain Hook in NBC holiday event Peter Pan Live. “He might just be the first tap-dancing Captain Hook,” said chairman of NBC Entertainment Bob Greenblatt at the TCA press tour Sunday. “I started my career in musicals and it’s wonderful after all this time, at this point in my career, to be in this classic musical I watched as a child and to work with [producers] Neil Meron and Craig Zadan again after Hairspray,” said Walken.

Tracy Morgan was released from the rehabilitation center where he was recovering from injuries suffered in a car wreck on June 7. He will continue his recovery with “an aggressive outpatient program,” shared his publicist. Morgan and other victims in the accident, including the widow of James McNair, are suing Wal-Mart; a limo bus in which the 30 Rock alum was riding with other passengers was rear-ended by one of the retailer’s tractor-trailers.
