Meryl Streep has signed up for HBO’s Master Class as opera singer Maria Callas. Mike Nichols will direct the movie, based on the Terrence McNally play. Oscar winner Streep is no TV snob  among her small-screen projects are mini-series The Holocaust (1978) and Angels in America (2003), as well as The Simpsons and King of the Hill.

After months of speculation, Chelsea Handler landed at Netflix. The comedian, who’s leaving E!’s Chelsea Lately in August, signed a deal with the streaming service for a stand-up special, docu-comedy specials and a talk show to debut in early 2016. ”I’m more excited than I’ve been in a while,” said Handler, who told Howard Stern in March she’d be interested in moving to Netflix. “The team at Netflix is the most forward thinking, alert group I’ve sat down with in ages,” added Handler, “no offense to the Shahs of Sunset.”

Beyonce will appear on HBO in a series of ten four-minute segments culled from her Mrs. Carter concert tour. Beyonce: X10 is set for Sundays at 8:55p, offering a boost to the seventh and final season of True Blood, launching June 22 at 9p. The singer’s Life Is But a Dream doc aired on HBO in February.

Nominees for the 29th Annual Imagen Awards were announced, honoring portrayals of Latinos and Latino culture. Nods for Best Primetime Program went to FX’s The Bridge, NBC’s Chicago PD, ABC Family’s The Fosters, NBC’s Law & Order: SVU and ABC Family’s Switched at Birth. Lazy Sunday, named after the digital short starring Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell rapping about cupcakes, has vanilla cake batter ice cream with cupcake pieces and a swirl of frosting. Gilly’s Catastrophic Crunch, based on Kristen Wiig’s little girl character, combines chocolate and sweet cream ice cream with caramel clusters, fudge-covered almonds and marshmallow swirl.
