Competing against Ellen for entertainment talk show: syndicated Live! with Kelly & Michael and Rachael Ray, CBS‘s The Talk and ABC‘s The View. Viacom International Media announced an agreement to acquire U.K.’s Channel 5 Broadcasting for $757 million. “This deal will dramatically increase Viacom’s investment in content produced in the U.K., which has a widely admired public service broadcasting culture and a globally influential production sector,” said Channel 5 COO Paul Dunthorne.
