George Stephanopoulos is sticking around Good Morning America. The ABC morning show host signed a contract extension, as co-host Robin Roberts did in late 2013. Included in the deal is his hosting gig on This Week. “We are thrilled that the team is locked in,” said ABC News, which lost GMA regulars Sam Champion to The Weather Channel and Josh Elliot to NBC Sports, but promoted Lara Spencer to GMA co-host last week.

With a renewal up in the air, Warner Bros. is scouting for a possible new home for The Mentalist in the event CBS doesn’t pick up the crime drama for a seventh season, reports EW. Series creator Bruno Heller told EW the finale is being written to work in any event. “It will be a very pleasing and satisfying series finale if that’s what happens,” said Heller, “and if not, it’s a very pleasing and satisfying precursor to a new season.” Season six’s ratings are down 9 percent, averaging 11.6 million viewers and 2.1 rating among A18-49, including DVR playback.
