Lara Spencer has been upped to co-anchor on Good Morning America, joining Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos. New ABC News president James Goldston broke the news in a memo to staff on Friday. “A key member of our on-air team, Lara Spencer, rejoined ABC three years ago – bringing her style, humor, sunny confidence, wonderful journalism and storytelling to GMA,” said Goldston. “Lara clearly is an essential ingredient in the success we have enjoyed.”

NBC announced the date for a three-hour special celebrating the 40 anniversary of Saturday Night Live: February 15, 2015. Calling it “just one of the many ways we plan to celebrate SNL’s historic 40th season next year,” NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt didn’t offer specifics about who’ll be onboard. SNL premiered October 11, 1975.

Crackle, a unit of Sony Pictures Television, today debuts SuperSong, an hour-long special documenting the experiences of singer Ricky Martin and music producer Salaam Remi as they record a track for the official album of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Time-shifting is giving Mad Men a healthy boost. In Live+3, the AMC drama’s season seven premiere was up 62 percent in total viewers versus same day, to 3.7 million, and up 74 percent among A18-49, to 1.8 million.

ABC‘s Jimmy Kimmel Live: Behind the Scandalabra on Thursday scored season highs in HH (3.4/8) in the 56 U.S. Metered Markets and A18-49 (1.4/6) in the 25 LPM Markets. The Scandal-themed episode, featuring an interview with show creator Shonda Rimes and appearances by cast members, was the show’s highest-rated telecast since moving to 11:35p in January 2013 and beat late night rivals NBC‘s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and CBS‘s Late Show with David Letterman, both in repeats.
