Bad news: Fox canceled low-rated but critically acclaimed comedy Raising Hope after four seasons. Good news: the one-hour series finale includes guest appearances by Downton Abbey‘s Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore) and Kenny Loggins on Friday, April 4 at 9p. “We planned our season four finale with this possibility in mind,” said exec producer Mike Mariano. “We’ll see you in syndication.”

Some fans had to delay watching the season finale of HBO‘s True Detective on Sunday night when streaming service HBO Go crashed. “Due to overwhelming popular demand for #TrueDetective, we’ve been made aware of an issue affecting some users,” HBO GO tweeted. “Please try again soon.” It appears some viewers might have moved to an actual television to catch the show – total viewers hit a series high 3.5 million, up from 2.3 for the show’s premiere.

Good Morning America debuted its new digital studio, #socialsquare, on Monday morning. The ABC morning show’s “social nerve center” allows GMA guests to interact with viewers during the broadcast. “This will revolutionize how our show is produced in the morning… it’s all about engaging directly with our viewers from beginning to end,” said GMA senior executive producer Tom Cibrowski. NBC rival Today, which opened its own digital studio in September, noted, “If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, we are deeply and sincerely flattered.”

ABC‘s premiere of freshman drama Resurrection on Sunday averaged a robust 3.6 rating among A18-49 and 13.6 million viewers, according to early Nielsens, the best numbers of the night. The debut helped Revenge, bumped from 9p to 10p, to a six-tenths points lift (1.9 in the demo).

Sunday’s premiere of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey scored a 2.1 rating among A18-49 and 5.8 million viewers for Fox, according to Nielsen. But that’s just one piece of a big pie. With the show debuting simultaneously on Nat Geo, FX, FXX, FXM, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo Mundo, and available in 181 countries, Fox predicts a global audience in the neighborhood of 40 million.

Sunday’s premiere of OWN docu-series Lindsay delivered 693,184 total viewers and demo ratings of .6 among W25-54 and .5 among W18-49 rating. That was triple-digit gains versus the prior six-week time period average (up 178 percent in total viewers, 300 percent for W25-54 and 478 percent for W18-49), but down from Lohan’s post-rehab interview on Oprah’s Next Chapter, which drew 892,000 viewers.
