Hip hop’s Sway and Fat Joe will host MTV2‘s Off the Bat from the MLB Man Cave, along with Girl Code and Guy Code stars Chris Distefano and Melanie Iglesias. The weekly show, part of the multi-year partnership between MTV and Major League Baseball, will be exec produced by World Series MVP David Ortiz and a rotation of other MLB stars. The Winter Olympics sent a chill through much of syndication programming the week ending February 16. Shows on some NBC affiliates were preempted, and programs that did air had stiff competition. NBCUniversal‘s Access Hollywood broke through by covering news of the Games, earning a 2.2 rating, according to Nielsen, up 5 percent from the week prior and up 22 percent versus last year.
