Saturday Night Live‘s Lorne Michaels anointed head writer Colin Jost the late night sketch show’s new co-anchor of Weekend Update. Jost joins Cecily Strong, who started as co-anchor this fall, alongside Seth Meyers. Meyers leaves in February for NBC’s Late Night; Jost is the third head writer, after Tina Fey and Meyers, to slip behind the news desk.

MTV had a “huge” night, reported the net, with the season five premiere of Teen Mom 2 Tuesday at 10p delivering 3.2 million total viewers, up almost 20 percent from the season four premiere, and a 2.5 P12-34 rating.
