The NBC broadcast of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade got its best rating in metered-market households in 11 years, averaging 13.5. In A18-49 the early rating was 7.2, a 10-year high. The net’s 12p-2p coverage of The National Dog Show Presented by Purina trotted off with a 6.0 metered-market household rating, its best since 2004.

American Idol‘s first winner, Kelly Clarkson, who has performed and mentored talent on The Voice in the past, is returning to the NBC singing competition to perform a song from her new Christmas album, Wrapped in Red. A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving was up over its T-Day broadcast last year by 33 percent in total viewers (5.3 million) and 45 percent in A18-49 (1.6/5) on ABC, according to preliminary numbers. The net’s Lady Gaga & The Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular averaged a less impressive .9 in A18-49 and 3.6 million viewers from 9:30p-11p, tying Fox’s puppet-themed Glee ep at 9p.

Actor Tony Musante died on November 26 due to complications from surgery. He was 77. Musante played real-life detective on Toma (1973-74), and more recently played mob boss Nino Schibetta on Oz.

Actress Jane Kean died on November 26 after a taking a fall. She was 90. Kean’s long-running career included performances in the theater and films as well as on numerous TV shows, but she was perhaps best know for playing Trixie in the 1960s musical Honeymooners sketches on The Jackie Gleason Show.

British actress Jean Kent died on November 30 after suffering a fall. She was 92. In addition to film roles, Kent appeared on television shows including Sir Francis Drake and Thicker Than Water.

Televangelist Paul Crouch, founder of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, died November 30. He was 79. Before launching TBN in 1973, Crouch produced film and TV for the Assemblies of God.
