Viewers of the Fox singing competition can start weighing on musical acts on the first live show tonight, via The X Factor app, Twitter, Instagram and the show’s web site. Poll rankings will be shown in real time. With regular air dates scrambled by the World Series, X Factor airs tonight at 8p, and again on Thursdsay, October 31 at 8p.

Fusion, the pop culture net targeting millennials that launched Monday, has signed major launch partners. Allstate, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson and Disney Parks are among the brands advertising on the new network. “Fusion is going to provide content that is relevant for a young, digital and diverse America,” said Catherine Sullivan, SVP of Sales for ABC News and Fusion.

Walking Dead has barely ambled into its fourth season, but AMC was quick to renew it for a fifth on Tuesday. Homeland wasn’t cowed by the sports competition Sunday night, either. Opposite Sunday Night Football on NBC and The World Series on Fox (not to mention AMC juggernaut Walking Dead), the Showtime drama averaged a season high 2 million viewers at 9p, a 13 percent lift week to week. With a time shift boost, the show is averaging a weekly audience of 6.7 million viewers.
