Time Warner Cable is taking a bigger hit than CBS in the retrans battle, according to a YouGov BrandIndex consumer perception survey. With about three million TWC subscribers still blocked from access to CBS programming, the cable company’s perception score plummeted from just under zero to minus 7 as of Monday, August 5. CBS’s score fell from between 2 and 3 to a neutral zero. The London-based YouGov BrandIndex is based on a representative survey of 4000 adults that asked, “If you’ve heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”
