A new study says Netflix streaming is not siphoning off TV viewers. A survey of TiVo subscribers by TiVo Research and Analytics from November 2012 through April 2013 found no significant difference in TV viewing among TiVo subscribers who had Netflix and those who didn’t.  “Our data show that Netflix is not currently a substitute for traditional television,” said TiVo research and analytics CEO Mark Lieberman. “The future of television may tell a different story, but as of today we’ve found that the Netflix subscribers in our study are not watching less traditional TV.”

CBS CEO Leslie Moonves was in the hot seat on Monday, answering questions at the TCA about Big Brother‘s controversial fifteenth season. Several housemates used racial slurs, which appeared on live feeds, then aired on the show (along with an apology for the offensive behavior). “Big Brother is obviously a social experiment,” said Moonves. “I find some of the behavior absolutely appalling, personally. Obviously it makes a lot of us uncomfortable. [But] I think we handled it the way we should have.”

Arsenio Hall also joked at the TCA that he just come from the courthouse, where he was trying to change his name to Jimmy. But he also talked more seriously about the late-night show arena, in which he’ll be competing come September 9. “I’m going to be reaching out to fans everywhere. Everyone talked about competing against Johnny [Carson] when I was a young man, but that really wasn’t what it was about. If you liked what Johnny did, you stayed with Johnny. I found that people wanted something that didn’t exist on the Carson show. And that’s what I’m going to do this time around [too].”
