FX has closed a 10/90 deal with Lionsgate Television and Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury for the new untitled sitcom starring Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer. The show centers on two Chicago lawyers from different backgrounds who develop a partnership and friendship. FX has ordered 10 episodes of the sitcom. If the series meets designated ratings thresholds over its first 10-episode run, the network will trigger an additional 90-episode order. The series will be produced by Lionsgate Television in association with Grammnet NH Productions and You Go Boy Productions.

MTV has unveiled its summer premiere schedule. Rob Dyrdek‘s Ridiculousness returns Thursday, July 18 at 10p, as the show breaks down the internet’s most hilarious and extreme videos with co-hosts Chanel “West Coast” and Sterling “Steelo” Brim. Guest appearances this season include Steve Aoki, A$AP Rocky, Cody Simpson, Ray J, Dominic Monahan, actress and model Joanna Krupa, actor Edward Barbanell and the cast of Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. Money From Strangers, a hidden camera show hosted by comedian Jeff Dye that sees how far people will go for $1,000, follows at 11p. Nikki & Sara Live debuts on Tuesday, July 30 at 11p. Hosted by Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer and set in the heart of New York City’s Times Square, the show features interviews with some of today’s hottest celebrities, man on the street sketches, and the latest in pop culture and entertainment.

The network has included the following message in telecasts: “HBO mourns the loss of James Gandolfini, a beloved member of the HBO family.” At ths time, there are no plans to air a marathon or other special scheduling of the series…

…Meanwhile, Bravo Media will commemorate Gandolfini’s life and career by re-airing a broadcast of his appearance on Inside the Actors Studio on Sunday, June 23 at 6p. The episode, which originally aired on October 17, 2004, will be broadcast on Monday, June 24 at 10:30a and Wednesday, June 26 at 6p. “When James Gandolfini was on Inside the Actors Studio, our students discovered how thoughtful the real James was – and how knowledgeable and caring he was about the craft he practiced so effortlessly that it didn’t look like acting at all,” said series host James Lipton.

Comedy Central has placed a series order for The Meltdown With Jonah and Kumail from executive producer Ben Stiller. Comedians Jonah Ray (The Soup, The Nerdist) and Kumail Nanjiani (Franklin & Bash, Portlandia, Michael & Michael Have Issues) will host the series. Based on the weekly event the duo hosts at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles, the series will feature the hottest stand-up comedians on-stage and behind the scenes.

Revolt TV, the upcoming cable network led by Sean Combs, has finalized a national carriage agreement with Time Warner Cable. Together with previously announced distribution, this will make Revolt one of the largest launches in cable TV history when it goes live this fall.
