FOX has postponed production of its drama pilot The Wild Blue, after talks with Tim McGraw to star in the series fell through. The drama will now film out of the March-May pilot season window.

There’s more love gone wrong coming from Investigation Discovery. The network has renewed Dates from Hell, the series that profiles the dark side of dating, for a second season. The show premieres on Friday, April 12 at 10 and 10:30p. To promote the new season, ID is launching the Escape a Date texting service for fans. Beginning March 22 users can text ESCAPE to 97979 to receive a phone call that offers a bailout from their own date disasters.

NBC has picked up U.S. broadcasting rights to Crossing Lines, a crime drama from Criminal Minds producers Bernero Productions and Tandem Communications. The series,which stars William Fichtner, Donald Sutherland and Marc Lavoine, focuses on a special unit of investigators working with the International Criminal Court to hunt down global criminals and bring them to justice. The show will join NBC’s summer schedule.

CBS has renewed CSI for the 2013-14 season and extended star Ted Danson‘s contract. Stand-up comedian and actor Cedric “The Entertainer” has been named the new host of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. He will join the long-running game show this fall, when it begins its 12th season in national syndication. Cedric replaces Meredith Vieira, who launched the weekday version of the game show in 2002 and remained host for 11 seasons.
