James Woods has been tapped to star in the new Showtime drama series Ray Donovan in the recurring role of Patrick “Sully” Sullivan. The series marks a return to television for Woods, who last starred in the CBS series Shark from 2006-2008.

Steve Kornacki has been named the new host of MSNBC‘s weekend morning show Up. Kornacki was previously co-host of the network’s weekday show The Cycle and is currently a senior political writer for Salon.com. He replaces Chris Hayes, who will be taking over the 8p slot on MSNBC.

The Season 16 premiere of Dancing With the Stars delivered ABC‘s biggest audience and second highest Adult 18-49 rating in the 8 to 10p time period since April 23, 2012. The show’s debut grew over its Season 15 premiere by 19% in total viewers and by 24% in adults 18-49. The premiere stands as television’s second most-watched unscripted telecast this season.

A&E‘s Bates Motel opened for business with 4.6 million total viewers on Monday, March 18. The show’s 10p premiere drew 3 million total viewers, while its 11p encore drew and additional 1.6 million viewers. Bates Motel scored highly with younger viewers, as well, averaging 1.6 million adults 18-49 and 25-54 at 10 p., becoming the networks most-watched original drama series in both demos.
