Get ready for The Daily Show sans Jon Stewart. The Comedy Central series host is taking a 12-week summer break from the show to make his directorial debut with Rosewater, a screenplay he wrote based on the New York Times best selling memoir Then They Came for Me: A Family’s Story of Love, Captivity and Survival. John Oliver, a correspondent on The Daily Show, will step in as guest host for the eight weeks the show plans to produce new episodes.

How I Rock It,(wt) from Ryan Seacrest Productions and Citizen Jones and hosted by NBA superstar Baron Davis, is a half-hour, six-part profiles athletes, celebrities, designers, and street-style icons. Risky Listing(wt), a one-hour six-part docuseries from Zodiak New York, goes behind the velvet rope to meet the high-end listings agents who wheel and deal in the competitive world of New York nightlife real estate.

Alexis Bledel, who played Rory on Gilmore Girls, has signed to co-star opposite Jason Ritter on the Fox sitcom pilot, Friends & Family. The show is based on the British television series Gavin & Stacy and is produced by Sony TV and BBC Worldwide Productions.

Hart of Dixie‘s Rachel Bilson is getting a new love interest. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rob Huebel, who stars on Adult Swim’s Childrens Hospital, has booked a guest-starring role on The CW series. He’ll play Michael, the father of Rose’s boyfriend, Max.
