For the first time, NBC and Shine America are teaming with Pinterest to jointly promote The Biggest Loser, airing on Mondays at 8p. NBC will create fitness and food tips based on each week’s episode specifically for the Pinterest platform. The integration began with last night’s episode and will continue until the series’ season finale on March 18. The Biggest Loser is a production of Shine America, 25/7 Productions and 3 Ball Productions.

Everyone’s favorite TV mom, Florence Henderson, will star in RLTV’s new culinary show, Who’s Cooking with Florence Henderson, debuting February 27 at 9p. Henderson will cook healthy versions of classic dishes alongside Chef Govind Armstrong. The weekly show also welcomes guest celebs sharing their family recipes from Virginia Madsen, Marie Osmond and Tim Conway to Henderson’s former Brady son, Christopher Knight (Peter) among many others.

British actor Richard Briers has died at the age of 79. Briers is best known to American TV audiences for his long-running role as Tom in 1970s series The Good Life as well as a starring turn in the series Monarch of the Glen. Briers also played roles in several of Kenneth Branagh’s films including Much Ado About Nothing, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, Henry V and Hamlet.

Kirstie Alley is back on television with TV Land’s aptly titled Kirstie’s New Show (previously titled Giant Baby) with Alley as Broadway star Madison Banks. The show reunites Alley with friend and former Cheers co-star Rhea Perlman in addition to Seinfeld actor Michael Richards. Set to premiere this fall with 12 episodes, Kirstie’s New Show is written and executive produced by Marco Pennette; Alley and manager Jason Weinberg are EPs along with TV Land’s Larry W. Jones and Keith Cox.

Prolific actor Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty) landed the lead role in Showtime’s drama pilot The Vatican, a thriller about spirituality, power and politics set against the modern-day machinations within the Catholic Church. Chandler will portray Cardinal Thomas Duffy, Archbishop of New York. Matthew Goode and Sebastian Koch have also joined the cast. Production begins this year on The Vatican which is produced by Sony Pictures Television in association with SHOWTIME for series consideration.

David Alan Grier (In Living Color) is going back to school in CBS’ adaptation of Bad Teacher, based on the 2011 Cameron Diaz feature film. In the single-camera comedy, Grier will play the principal, Carl Gaines, the role played by John Michael Higgins in the Columbia Pictures movie.

MTV reports last Thursday was a strong night for the network with the season three premiere of Ridiculousness and the series debut of Failosophy. Ridiculousness attracted 1.7 million total viewers and ranked as the top cable series among P12-34 that night. The series launch of Failosophy following Ridiculousness drew in 1.1 million total viewers and was the #1 series in its timeslot with male teens across all TV. Both series continue to air on Thursdays with Ridculousness at 10p and Failsophy at 1030p.
