He Didn’t Survive This One: CBS Television Distribution cancels Jeff Probst’s short-lived talk show after one season. The popular Survivor host won’t return for a second season but it will finish out this one. The cancellation comes on the heels of Twentieth Television’s cancellation of Ricki Lake last week.

Here, She is: The Miss America Organization strikes a new three-year deal with ABC and will also bring the event back to Atlantic City. The network said this year’s telecast enlarged its audience for the third year in a row and became the most-watched broadcast of the pageant since 2004.

As part of the marketing for American Idol, the show launches a cross-country relay of the “Idol microphone” on March 1 from New York to Los Angeles, in partnership with sponsors Ford, Coca-Cola and AT&T. The 5,000-mile relay should last two weeks, with the microphone slated to arrive in Los Angeles on March 13 for the Top 10 live performance show that night at 8p on Fox.

ABC trades time periods for several shows starting with reality series Celebrity Wife Swap returning Tuesday February 26 at 8p, an hour earlier from last year’s time slot. It’ll serve as the lead-in for cooking competition show The Taste, which moves back an hour to 9p. In addition, the network moves comedy Happy Endings to Friday nights with a new slate of episodes starting March 29 at 8p. Happy Endings had previously aired on Tuesdays.

Good Morning Glory: On the morning show circuit, GMA ranked tops in the first full week of the February sweeps with 5.4 million total viewers and 2 million adults 25 to 54, besting NBC’s Today with 4.7 million total viewers and nearly 2 million adults 25 to 54, and CBS This Morning with 3.1 million total viewers and about 1.2 million adults 25 to 54, ABC said, quoting Nielsen figures. Meanwhile, CBS This Morning expanded its audience, adding 440,000 viewers compared to the same week last year, according to Nielsen.

In advance of the return of Psych to USA, the network will run a “social, real-time” party starting at midnight tonight and ending on Saturday at 6a. During that so-called “Slumber party” the cast will participate in second screen trivia and giveaways, while fans can have the chance to record and upload short videos touting the show that may run on air.
