Time Warner is having talks with former NBC executive Jeff Zucker to possibly become the head of CNN. The cable news network’s current president, Jim Walton announced plans of his departure last summer and Zucker could be appointed to fill the position in the next several days. Previously Zucker served as executive producer of NBC’s Today show and then moved up to become a senior network executive at NBC. When Comcast acquired control of NBCUniversal in 2011, Zucker then lost his position as CEO. At the present time Zucker is executive producer of Katie Couric’s new syndicated daytime talk show, Katie.

FOX is shifting the second season premiere date of its adventure drama series Touch again to February 8 at 8p instead of February 1. The network had originally set Touch’s season premiere date for October 26. FOX will air a two-hour season two premiere of Touch, starring Kiefer Sutherland where the action moves from New York to Los Angeles. Touch is a production of Chernin Entertainment and Tailwind Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. FOX will also air the remaining episodes of The Mob Doctor prior to the premiere of new midseason series The Following on January 21. The Mob Doctor’s final four eps will air at 9p on December 29, December 31, January 5 and January 7.

Two new comedies are set to premiere in mid-January on BET. Comedian and actor Kevin Hart partners with BET Networks on Real Husbands of Hollywood, a semi-scripted show described as the “fakest reality show ever” that follows men of Hollywood in their surreal lives. The cast includes Kevin Hart, Nick Cannon, husband of Mariah Carey, Boris Kodjoe, husband of actress Nicole Ari Parker, Duane Martin, husband of actress Tisha Campbell-Martin, J.B. Smoove, husband of singer Shahidah Omar and Robin Thicke, husband of actress Paula Patton. Real Husbands of Hollywood premieres January 15 at 10p. Then new scripted comedy Second Generation Wayans will debut at 1030p also on January 15. This half-hour show stars Damien Dante Wayans, Craig Wayans, George O. Gore II and Tatyana Ali and viewers will see the two Wayans emerge from the shadows of their uncles to carve their own path to stardom in Hollywood.

FX has set the 2013 midseason premiere dates for several of its series: the season four premiere of Justified opens on January 8 at 10p; comedy series Anger Management, starring Charlie Sheen will return January 17 at 9p with two back-to-back episodes and the series will settle in its 930p slot the following week. Also on January 17, Archer returns with a fourth season at 10p followed at 1030p by new original series Legit, starring Australian comedian Jim Jeffries. As previously announced, FX will air the new cycle of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell starting January 17 at 11p.

A third season of Dance Moms kicks off on New Year’s Day on Lifetime at 9p. The network will air a 90-minute season premiere featuring Abby Lee Miller star of the docu-series set in Pittsburgh and Miller’s competitive dance studio. Dance Moms is produced by Collins Avenue. Prior to the season premiere of Dance Moms, Lifetime will air the Dance Moms Special: The Smoke Before the Fire at 8p.

The New Year brings a new sixth season of The Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo, premiering January 10 at 9p. Love expert Patti Stanger is back and is looking for her own true love and also discovers fresh information about her birth parents that makes her approach relationships in a different way. The new season also sports a roster of celebrity singles including Denise Richard’s dad, Top Chef’s Just Desserts winner Yigit Pura and professional sports stars. The series is produced for Bravo by Intuitive Entertainment and Bayonne Entertainment, Inc.

IFC reports the premiere of Trapped in the Closet (R. Kelly) attracted a combined audience of more than 1.5 million total viewers and 899,000 among A18-49 last Friday. The night consisted of the digitally remastered previous chapters as well as all-new chapters. The new chapters premiered from 9-10p and delivered 780,000 total viewers.

A first-look production deal was forged between NBC and America’s Got Talent host Nick Cannon and his production company, NCredible Entertainment. Cannon and his business partner Michael Goldman will develop both scripted and unscripted projects for the network. The deal also has Cannon remaining as host of America’s Got Talent when the show returns next summer.
