SHOWTIME will end The Big C, starring Laura Linney with a four-part limited event series created to bring finality to the storyline.  The Big C: hereafter will have Linney reprising her role as Cathy Jamison, whose cancer diagnosis forces her to shake up her life.  Joining her in the cast is Oliver Platt, John Benjamin Hickey, Gabriel Basso and Gabourey Sidibe.  For the final episodes, Kathy Najimy and fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi will guest star.  Najimy will appear in all four eps as Cathy’s (Linney) no-nonsense therapist who helps her deal with the challenges she faces while Mizrahi will appear in several eps as himself.  The Big C: hereafter is produced by Sony Pictures Television.   SHOWTIME also set the premiere date of Jim Rome on SHOWTIME for November 21 at 10p.  The new, one-hour series will highlight Rome’s trademark style and opinions about the world of sports.  The series is produced by Generate Entertainment, Inc.
