NBC ordered five extra scripts of the new rookie drama Chicago Fire from executive producer Dick Wolf. The drama, about the men and women of the Chicago Fire Department starring Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer, in its most recent airing gained a +20% increase among A18-49 by delivering a 1.8/5.

The annual holiday-themed programming event, 25 Days of Christmas is ready to jingle on ABC Family starting December 1 through the 25th. Viewers can watch original movies, holiday specials and returning favorites. New to this year, is the world premiere of the original holiday musical, The Mistle-Tones starring Tia Mowry and Tori Spelling on December 8 at 8p. Holiday movies include Fred Claus starring Vince Vaughn airing on December 4 at 10p and the basic cable premiere broadcasts of Disney’s A Christmas Carol December 6 at 8p and Despicable Me on December 8 at 8p among other movie titles. Holiday classics such as Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town and Frosty’s Winter Wonderful among many others are also included in the line-up.

Yesterday, Spike TV picked up a new reality series where teams will attempt to prove the existence of Big Foot. The series, 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty will reward the first team to secure proof of the legendary Sasquatch $10 million in cash underwritten by Lloyd’s of London. If the award is actually granted, it will become the largest cash prize in TV history. Spike ordered 10 one-hour episodes produced by Charlie Corwin’s Original Media with Corwin, Michael Riley and Jon Kroll serving as EPs.

Eva Longoria inked a first-look development agreement with Universal Television that includes a non-writing, executive producer portion with her production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment. Former Cheers stars, Rhea Perlman and Kirstie Alley are reuniting on TV Land’s pilot Giant Baby. Perlman plays Thelma, Maddie’s (Alley) long-suffering assistant and best friend who encourages her to form a relationship with the son she gave up for adoption. Giant Baby is written and executive produced by Marco Pennette; Alley also serves as an EP along with Jason Weinberg.

Bill Daly’s pilot Continuing Fred for ABC Family has cast the lead characters, Dan Castellaneta (The Simpsons) as Harry, the father to Mimi Gianopolous’ Winifred “Fred” Harris while Mo Gaffney (Absolutely Fabulous) will play Loretta, Fred’s well-meaning but nosy mom. The multi-camera comedy was approved to pilot in September and follows slacker-turned-elementary school teacher Fred and her crazy family. In addition, Mark J. Sullivan will play Fred’s brother Ben; Angelique Cabral will play Ben’s wife, Jennifer; and Asif Ali will play Max, a childhood friend of Ben and Fred’s who is potential love interest for Fred.
