New episodes of Kitchen Nightmares for its fifth season starring Chef Gordon Ramsay will return to FOX’s schedule on October 26 at 8p while the network pushes back the second season premiere of Touch starring Kiefer Sutherland to January (date and time TBA). Kitchen Nightmares is a co-production of ITV Studios America and Optomen in association with A. Smith & Co. Productions, Inc. Touch is produced by Chernin Entertainment and Tailwind Productions, in association with 20th Century Fox Television.

The first Presidential Debate ratings from Wednesday night for the broadcast networks, based on Nielsen’s Fast National Ratings were released at approximately 4p ET yesterday. From 9p to 1032p, ABC delivered 11.3 million total viewers/3.92 rating and 4.7 million among A25-54; NBC had 11.1 million total viewers/4.32 rating and 5.2 million among A25-54; and CBS had 10.6 million total viewers/3.80 rating and 4.5 million among A25-54.

NBCUniveral’s third annual Healthy Week will air across all of NBCU’s properties from October 7-14. This year’s Healthy Week focuses on five health themes: sleep, recess, portion control, hydration and “taking five.” Healthy Week themes begin during Football Night in America this Sunday and runs during the eight-day period on more than 50 NBCU properties including the NBC primetime shows Up All Night, Guys with Kids and Go On; NBC News’ shows Today, Nightly News and via CNBC; and on the NBCU cable networks Bravo, Sprout, E!, Syfy and G4 as well as NBCU’s digital assets iVillage among others.

Netflix will air the original political drama series House of Cards starring Kevin Spacey in one fell swoop next year as all 13 episodes will be available to subscribers on February 1. House of Cards is produced by David Fincher and production on the second season will begin in spring 2013.

ABC Family handed a fourth season renewal to its original series Pretty Little Liars. The new season will consist of 24 one-hour episodes that will debut in mid-2013. The network has a special Halloween themed episode of Pretty Little Liars planned for October 23 at 8p as part of the network’s 13 Nights of Halloween programming event and then the rest of season three will return in January. Pretty Little Liars is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.

NBC’s pilot The Secret Lives of Husband and Wives has cast Australian actor Martin Henderson (Off the Map) in the lead role. Henderson will play Kyle Dunn, a former flight surgeon and astronaut who returns from a long absence to find something is different about the life he left behind. NBC ordered the pilot from Jerry Bruckheimer and Warner Bros. Television last June. The project is based on the book by Josie Brown of the same name.

Celebrities are needed to appear in the eighth season of BIO Channel’s series, Celebrity Ghost Stories. The series also airs internationally.
Guests are paid a substantial honorarium for doing the interview. Producers are shooting interview segments in Los Angeles and New York in late October and early November. There is also a possibility of shooting in other cities. Producers will arrange for make-up and hair. Celebrity Ghost Stories is a first-person story telling narrative where celebrities relate their experiences with the paranormal.
