TLC’s newest hit series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo receives an order for additional episodes on the heels of the one-hour special episode to close out the first half of season one that was slated to run Wednesday night. In addition to the new episodes, TLC plans three holiday specials for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Since its August premiere, the show has averaged 2.3 million viewers.

CBS’ news stalwart 60 Minutes starts its 45th season September 30 at 7p with a report on the situation in Afghanistan and an interview with Arnold Schwarzenegger. CBS also debuts its 60 Minutes app for the iPhone today. The app has previously been available for iPads and is the top-ranked paid news app, CBS says.

Fox’s The Mob Doctor generated the most online “involvement” among new falls shows for the week ending September 23, according to a just-released analysis of online and social sentiment from social analytics firm General Sentiment. Rounding out the top five were CBS’ Vegas, NBC’s Chicago Fire, CBS’ Partners and Fox’s The Mindy Project. General Sentiment said it measures shows based on online discussion, how positive the discussion is, and the source of that discussion.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network slates October 2 at 10p to premiere the first episode in its new series Oprah: Where Are They Now? that profiles headline-making Oprah show guests with a look at what they’re up to now, including Kato Kaelin, Mary Jo Buttafuoco and Shannon Faulkner, the first female cadet at The Citadel.
