The X Factor on FOX is gaining an extra hour in primetime. The network will air a one-hour encore from the second season on Friday nights beginning September 28 for three consecutive weeks. Kitchen Nightmares in the 8p slot will be rescheduled for later in the season.

Netflix confirmed that as of last Friday numerous shows from A&E Networks have disappeared from its streaming service. The deal gave Netflix the right to stream shows such as Storage Wars, Pawn Stars, Hoarders, American Pickers and more. Approximately 800 hours of content is gone from A&E and HISTORY. Reports indicate Netflix has been in negotiations with A&E though the two entities have not reached an agreement.

Lifetime renewed its longtime drama Army Wives for a seventh season comprised of 13 episodes for 2013. For its sixth season which concluded on September 9, Army Wives averaged 3.2 million total viewers.

A second season is on tap for Secretly Pregnant as Discovery Fit & Health renewed the series, reports THR. The network handed the series a six-episode order with each one-hour episode spotlighting two women’s stories. The new season will debut October 11 at 10p. Secretly Pregnant is produced for the network by Gigantic! Productions.

Ben Stiller is working on a single-camera comedy titled Please Knock loosely based on his own life for ABC to be produced through his Red Hour Films. Kevin Napier is involved as writer and executive producer along with Red Hour’s Stuart Cornfeld, Debbie Liebling and Stiller. ABC Studios will be producing, where Stiller and his Red Hour company forged an overall development deal in November.

FOX gave a put-pilot with series penalty deal to Seth MacFarlane for a live-action comedy from MacFarlane and the writers behind the movie Ted. The untitled live-action project will be written and executive produced by Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild along with MacFarlane who also serves as EP. 20th Television is producing.
