A new series on TLC introduces viewers to sister and brother, Bridgette (Bri) and Bradley (Brad) Jordan, who also are the world’s smallest siblings when Big Tiny premieres August 13 at 10p. Bri and Brad may be the smallest siblings, weighing in at 18 and 35 pounds respectively, the pair have larger-than-life personalities and tons of self-confidence. The 20-something siblings live in Sandoval, IL with their mother, Christy Jordan and their older sister, Brandi who is average-sized. Big Tiny is produced by Wild Dream Films for TLC.

Lifetime set the premiere date for its social experiment series, The Week the Women Went for August 15 at 10p. Narrated by comedian Jeff Foxworthy, the five-episode unscripted series examines modern-day gender roles and discovers the consequences when all the women depart their town of Yemassee, South Carolina, leaving the men to run the households, businesses and the community. BBC Worldwide Productions produces the one-hour series which is based on a British social experiment format from the BBC.

Original real-life series Shipping Wars returns to A&E network with a second season starting August 7 with back-to-back episodes eat 9p and 930p. The series follows six independent shippers who transport items that are considered unshippable. Shipping Wars is produced by Megalomedia for A&E Network.

Larry King has a new talk show, Larry King Now available on Ora.TV, a new on-demand digital TV network streamed on Hulu. Episodes of Larry King Now will air Monday-Thursday and King will interview politicians and entertainers. During his first week, King will chat with Seth MacFarlane, Meghan McCain and Matthew McConaughey.

A familiar face from 1970s television, Bonnie Franklin (One Day at a Time) will appear on CBS’ daytime soap, The Young and the Restless playing a street-savvy nun. Franklin begins production on her episodes this week and they will air starting in mid-August. Franklin has also recently appeared on TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland.

Veteran television creator and director, William Asher has died at the age of 90 in Palm Desert, CA. Mr. Asher helped create the classic ABC sitcom Bewitched which starred his then-wife, Elizabeth Montgomery and ran from 1964 to 1972. He also co-created The Patty Duke Show and directed hundreds of episodes of various series including I Love Lucy, The Danny Thomas Show and The Colgate Comedy Hour among many others. Mr. Asher’s television career continued into the 1970s where he directed and helmed episodes of The Paul Lynde Show, Operation Petticoat, Alice and the television adaptations of The Bad News Bears and Private Benjamin. In the realm of film, Mr. Asher directed a series of popular beach party movies that starred Annett Funicello and Frankie Avalon including Beach Party, Muscle Beach Party, Beach Blanket Bingo and How to Stuff a Wild Bikini. While working on these films, he developed the pilot for the comedy Gidget starring Sally Field set on the beach and directed many of the episodes. Mr. Asher was married four times, first to actress Dani Sue Nolan; to Montgomery (which ended in 1973); and to his third wife actress Joyce Bulifant. His survivors include his fourth wife, Meredith; a son and a daughter from his first marriage; two sons and a daughter from his marriage to Montgomery; four stepchildren; nine grandchildren; and eight-step-grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Asher will be held September 29 at Desert Springs Church in Palm Desert.
