Yesterday, Style Media revealed plans to refresh the network’s brand and image across all platforms. The network describes its new image as a “glossy, bold look that appeals to women’s desire for a stylish lifestyle.” The present Style circle logo is replaced with a new typeface using midnight blue and accented by light blue. The new logo is mutable and will be filled in with different patterns and colors that will reflect trends in fashion and lifestyle. Style also adopts a new tagline: Work It. Love It. Style It. Style will introduce these new on-air and online looks beginning next Monday in sync with all new episodes of Tia & Tamera and Chicagolicious. In addition, the global channels unit of NBCUniversal will present a refreshed Style brand internationally launching this coming November.

Country superstar and cookbook author Trisha Yearwood’s daytime series, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen was renewed by Food Network for a second season. Food Network bowed the series in April with six episodes and will expand the second season to 13 episodes which begin production this summer and launches in the fall.

Over the summer, MTV is reviving past series as part of its Retro Mania morning programming block launching Monday from 9a to 12p. From June 25-29, MTV will air episodes from the first two seasons of Laguna Beach; from July 2-27 the network will air the entire run of The Hills; and select episodes of Daria fill the schedule from July 30-August 3. Celebrities Stephen Colletti, Audrina Patridge, Lo Bosworth, Stephanie Pratt, Layla Kayleigh, Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer will offer commentary, conduct interviews and host during this programming block.

Monday’s series premiere of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta delivered a 1.3 A18-49 rating for VH1 at 8p and also averaged 1.9 million total viewers. VH1 aired an encore of the premiere episode at 10p and combined with the first airing a total of 3.6 million viewers were tallied for the night. Action competition series, Stars Earn Stripes, set to debut on NBC August 13 at 8p with a two-hour premiere episode, has named its celebrity cast. Hosted by Entertainment Tonight correspondent Samantha Harris and former presidential candidate General Wesley Clark, the eight celebrity competitors include boxing champ Laila Ali, actor Dean Cain, actor and former NFL player Terry Crews, singer and TV personality Nick Lachey, Alaska businessman Todd Palin, Olympic gold medalist Picabo Street, The Biggest Loser trainer Dolvett Quince and WWE’s Diva Eve Torres. Produced by Dick Wolf and Mark Burnett, the series pays tribute to America’s military veterans by raising funds for charities and veteran’s groups. Each celebrity participant will be paired with a former member of the armed forces or law enforcement agency who will train them on various military-style missions.

Ray Romano is joining NBC’s family drama Parenthood in a multi-episode arc for the series’ fourth season. Romano will play a photographer and a former photojournalist who forms a friendship with Sarah (Lauren Graham) and complicates her relationship with Mark (Jason Ritter). Romano will first appear on Parenthood’s season four premiere scheduled for September 11. NBC renewed the series last month with 15 episodes.
