Professional wrestler Showtime Eric Young will star in the new Animal Planet series Off the Hook: Extreme Catches debuting July 29 at 9p. Each half-hour episode follows Young, an avid outdoorsman, as he goes to extremes with bait, tackle, poles and transportation to reel in his catch. The series will criss-cross the nation from New England to the beaches of North Carolina to the coast of Florida. Off the Hook: Extreme Catches is produced by part 2 pictures for Animal Planet.

A special five-part themed Chopped: Grill Masters travels to the Arizona desert premiering on Food Network July 22 at 10p and airing on consecutive Sunday nights. Outside the Old Tucson Studios, sixteen grilling pros from around the country will battle it out in front of judges Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy and Aaron Sanchez. The top grilling pro will receive a $50,000 grand prize. Chopped: Grill Masters concludes with the season finale on August 19 at 9p.

This summer, Discovery Fit & Health bows two new medical series. Diagnosis: Dead or Alive opens next Monday at 10p and offers stories from the patient’s perspective documenting the first symptoms, the search for a diagnosis and the outcome of the patient. The second series, ER Nights premieres June 30 at 10p as part of the network’s grittiER, funniER and craziER Saturdays in primetime beginning at 8p that will also include the best of Bizarre ER and Untold Stories of the ER. The new series ER Nights goes inside the ER and follows the ER staff at Saint Vincent’s located close to Sydney, Australia.

Earlier this month, Dylan Ratigan, host of The Dylan Ratigan Show airing weekdays at 4p on MSNBC announced to viewers he will be leaving the network to concentrate on other pursuits. Replacing Ratigan’s show will be a new show at 3p weekdays featuring a rotating cast of anchors and regular contributors to the network. Martin Bashir will then move to Ratigan’s present 4p time slot.

TNT’s drama series Falling Skies bowed its second season Sunday night with 4.46 million total viewers based on Live + Same Day data. In other demos, the Falling Skies season debut also attracted close to 2.2 million with A25-54 and almost 1.9 million A18-49 viewers.

On Sunday, Lifetime drew in 2.7 million total viewers for the season one finale of the drama The Client List. The series starring and executive produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt and co-starring Cybill Shepherd, Loretta Devine and Colin Egglesfield also averaged 1.3 million with A25-54 and 1.2 million with A18-49. Lifetime recently renewed The Client List for a second season with 15 episodes produced by Fedora Films and Jaffe/Braunstein in association with Sony Pictures Television.
