Nightly program John King, USA has been canceled by CNN and will end as of June 29 though King will remain with the cable news network as its lead national campaign correspondent. Beginning July 2, The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer will expand by another hour to air from 4-7p and will take over King’s time slot. John King, USA launched in March 2010 in the 7p hour and then was moved back to 6p last September to make way for Erin Burnett’s new show.

New docu-series I’m Having Their Baby will premiere July 23 at 11p on Oxygen. The new six-part series goes inside the world of adoption by relating the perspective of the birth mother and her difficult and emotional choice. Each episode profiles two pregnant women who have chosen to place their babies up for adoption and follows them as they make life-changing decisions. I’m Having Their Baby is produced by Hud:sun Media.

Lionsgate’s pot-centric series Weeds on SHOWTIME will end following the next upcoming eighth season set to premiere July 1 at 10p. Helmed by Mary-Louise Parker, playing suburban soccer mom-turned-marijuana queenpin, Nancy Botwin, Weeds will have 13 episodes for its final season. Additionally, the 11th episode of the new season will mark the series’ 100th ep. Weeds originally debuted on August 7, 2005.

A new season that marks the 10th anniversary for Lifetime’s Project Runway debuts July 19 at 9p. Host Heidi Klum is back along with mentor Tim Gunn and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia as sixteen new designers go toe-to-toe with one winning the prize package including $100,000 from L’Oreal Paris to launch his/her own line, a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine and much more. Each 90-minute episode will be filmed on location in New York City. Project Runway is produced by The Weinstein Company, Miramax Films, Bunim-Murray Productions and Full Picture.

The fourth season of Hoarding: Buried Alive will premiere on TLC July 8 at 9p revealing more stories of extreme hoarders. TLC has ordered 18 all-new episodes with nine airing in July and the back nine airing in 2013. Hoarding: Buried Alive is produced for TLC by Discovery Studios.

British chef Jamie Oliver will executive produce a new cooking competition series, Chef Race UK vs US gearing up to premiere this fall on BBC America. The new original unscripted series with ten one-hour episodes follows sixteen chefs – eight Brits versus eight Americans as they race across the US from Los Angeles to New York City attempting to win the $100,000 prize. Michelin-starred London restaurateur Richard Corrigan will serve as mentor and judge and the show is hosted by Claire Robinson. The chef-testants will have no money and minimal resources and will have to rely on their cooking skills. Chef Race: UK vs US is a BBC America original series produced by Jamie Oliver’s Fresh One Productions.

Arrested Development actress Portia de Rossi is joining NBC’s The Munsters re-make titled Mockingbird Lane in the role as Lily, the Munster family matriarch. She will join Jerry O’Connell who was recently cast as Herman Munster. Mockingbird Lane is from Bryan Fuller and Bryan Singer. NBC’s remake is described as a darker one-hour drama compared to the classic comedy The Munsters where Yvonne De Carlo originated the role of Lily in the 1960s version. De Rossi is also on tap to reprise her role of Lindsay Funke in Netflix’s revival of the FOX comedy Arrested Development.
