The summer premiere of Wipeout hits ABC’s schedule June 28 at 9p. The new edition – Hotties versus Nerds 2.0 has 12 brainy nerds battling it out against 12 beautiful women in a showdown of the sexes. Produced by Endemol USA, Wipeout is hosted by John Anderson (ESPN’s SportsCenter) and John Henson (E! Entertainment’s Talk Soup) along with co-host Vanessa Lachey (ABC’s True Beauty).

Anthony Bourdain, chef and star of Travel Channel’s No Reservations and soon-to-be on CNN in 2013 will possibly co-host a new cooking reality show for ABC. The untitled cooking show has not been confirmed by ABC though Bourdain tweeted his involvement as host on the food blog Eater. British chef and television personality, Nigella Lawson will also co-star on the show with Bourdain. Kinetic Content is producing.

A trio of actors will not be returning to ABC’s procedural series Body of Proof for its third season: John Carroll Lynch, Nicholas Bishop and Sonja Sohn. All three actors have been with the show since the pilot episode.

Actor Jon Wellner received a promotion to series regular on CBS’ CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, reports THR. Wellner has been a part of the cast for seven seasons playing toxicology specialist Henry Andrews.

Former Lost star Maggie Grace will appear as a guest star in at least eight episodes during the upcoming sixth season of SHOWTIME’s Californication. Grace will play Faith, a groupie who develops a unique relationship with Hank Moody (David Duchovny). Additionally, another former Lost star, Jorge Garcia will appear in one episode of Californication playing an old contact from Faith’s past and musical comedian Tim Minchin will guest star as Atticus Fetch, a David Bowie-type rocker in eight episodes. Production on the 12 new episodes for season six commenced last month and the series is slated to debut in early 2013.
