Summer premiere dates revealed for one returning series and two new shows on CBS: A new 14th edition of Big Brother resumes its three-night-a-week schedule beginning July 12 at 9p. Additional weekly air dates include Sundays and Wednesdays at 8p. New dating series 3 opens with a special 90-minute episode on July 22 right after the Sunday airing of Big Brother. CBS also slated new unscripted series, Dogs in the City to bow May 30 at 8p. Big Brother is from Fly on the Wall Entertainment in association with Endemol USA. 3 is co-produced by Magical Elves, 1492 Television and Keshet Broadcasting. Dogs in the City is from CBS’ Raquel Productions in association with Shed Media and Carol Mendelsohn Productions.

A new Discovery Channel series examines the world of gangs and crime families who have reached prominence when Kurt Sutter’s Outlaw Empires launches May 14 at 10p. Each of the six episodes relates the full story of a well-known American outlaw dynasty. Studio Lambert and Sutterink produce the series for Discovery Channel.

ABC Family renewed The Lying Game for a second season. The drama series is based on a young adult book series of the same name by Sara Shepard. Production will begin later this summer and The Lying Game will premiere in the winter.

E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians gained three additional seasons and will be on the air through season nine, reports THR. The new deal includes all members of the Kardashian family and furthermore, this deal extends E!’s first look rights for all of the family’s non-scripted ideas, concepts and projects. Production is underway on the next season by Ryan Seacrest Productions and the seventh season debuts May 20 at 9p.

Former Rome actor Ray Stevenson landed a major recurring role on Showtime’s Dexter, per THR. Stevenson will play a top-ranking member of the Eastern European crime ring that comes to Miami to find out who killed one of his associates. Season seven of Dexter opens September 30.
