Yesterday, FOX renewed new sitcom New Girl for a second season, gave sitcom Raising Hope a third season and handed a fourth season to Glee. New episodes of Glee begin tonight following four weeks of FOX airing back-to-back comedies on Tuesday nights.

FOX has plans to air fewer Cops episodes on Saturdays during next season, clearing the way to add more sports events. FOX will schedule several major sporting events including NASCAR races, Major League Baseball games, college football games and Ultimate Fighting Championship matches to air 28 out of 32 nights from April 14 to December 8.

Summer premiere dates for two of The CW’s new reality series have been set. The Catalina, following employees and guests of a posh Miami hotel bows on May 29 at 8p. Breaking Pointe, highlighting the world of competitive ballet opens May 31 at 8p. Then starting June 4, both series will air encore episodes on Mondays from 8-10p. The Catalina is produced by Bischoff Hervey Entertainment and Breaking Pointe is from BBC Worldwide Productions.

Gearing up for Earth Week, April 15-22, The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) launches the Green is Universal campaign that is part of NBCU’s company-wide environmental initiative, as well as its newest original series Turbine Cowboys on TWC April 17 at 9p. Turbine Cowboys features men and women who must endure extreme heights and weather conditions to build, maintain and repair the giant turbines used to generate electricity from wind. Turbine Cowboys is produced by BCII. Throughout next week, TWC offers live content under the Green is Universal initiative such as the weekly feature Earth Watch on all of TWC’s live shows; informational features on recycling; and meteorologists Mike Bettes and Mark Elliot will host other segments relating to environmental issues.

This spring, Syfy’s Powerful Mondays programming block will house the fifth and final season of Eureka, premiering next Monday at 9p followed by the second season of supernatural drama series Lost Girl at 10p. Eureka is produced and distributed by Universal Cable Productions and Lost Girl is from Prodigy Pictures in association with Showcase.

Sunday’s series launch of The Client List on Lifetime, starring and executive produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt and co-starring Cybill Shepherd among others, averaged 2.8 million total viewers. The Client List becomes the network’s most-watched series launch in more than two years since Drop Dead Diva debuted on July 12, 2009, based on Nielsen Research.
