FOX set its season finale dates for several series: May 21 at 9p is the series finale for House preceded by a one-hour retrospective episode at 8p; American Idol will air its two-night season finale on May 22 and 23; and Glee also airs its season finale on May 22 after the final competition episode of American Idol. For its comedies, FOX will conclude the second season of Raising Hope on April 17; New Girl airs its season finale on May 8; and the Sunday animated comedies The Cleveland Show, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and Family Guy with an hour-long episode all end their seasons on May 20 though American Dad will end its season a week prior on May 13. Other dramas The Finder and Fringe will air season finales on May 11 with Bones season ender on May 14.

On Monday, MTV renewed Jersey Shore for a sixth season and the full cast will be returning to the show. Production is set to commence this summer. MTV is also airing Jersey Shore: The Reunion this Thursday at 10p.

On the heels of canceling its talk show, The Rosie Show, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has eliminated 30 positions at the network’s Los Angeles and New York offices. Sunday’s season two finale of AMC’s original series The Walking Dead at 9p became the series’ highest-rated episode ever. The finale episode attracted 9.0 million viewers as well as 6.0 million with A18-49; 5.3 million among A25-54; and a cume of 10.5 million total viewers combining the 9p episode with an encore at 1130p.

Original series The Walking Dead on AMC cast Danai Gurira (Treme, The Visitor) as Michonne, a character featured in Robert Kirkman’s comic book series described as a mysterious woman with a sword. Gurira’s character was introduced in the recent season two finale episode and will reappear in the third season.
