First season drama Grimm was handed a second season renewal by NBC. Airing on Friday nights, Grimm’s most recent episode tallied 5.2 million total viewers and a 1.5 rating with A18-49. Grimm also saw an 87% bump among A18-49 viewers based on DVR Live+7 data, the largest increase of any network series.

Late last week, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network said its daily talk show The Rosie Show is canceled after being on the air for five months. The final show of The Rosie Show is being taped tomorrow and the final episode will air March 30 at 7p. The Rosie Show premiered on OWN October 10, 2011 and was produced in Chicago by Harpo Studios in association with KidRo Productions, Inc. and SantaBu Productions.

Bravo took its newest dating reality series Love Broker off its schedule after airing two episodes. The series premiered March 5 and featured matchmaker Lori Zaslow attempting to form love matches in New York City. The first two episodes drew in less than 500,000 viewers. Bravo is expected to air the remaining episodes this summer though a return date for the series has not been set. Bravo will replace Love Broker tonight at 10p with Bethenny Ever After.

Season four of MTV’s Teen Mom will the last to feature Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, per a statement from the network to Us Weekly. The fourth season of Teen Mom is expected to debut this summer.

New fall drama Widow Detective for CBS selected John Corbett to star as the lead. Corbett will play a decorated police detective who becomes a surrogate husband, lover and father to families of partners who died while on duty. The drama is from Carol Mendelsohn, and writer David Hubbard who will be EPs with Julie Weitz. Corbett most recently appeared on NBC’s Parenthood.

Former stand-up comedian and SNL cast member Dennis Miller was tagged for ABC’s comedy pilot Awesometown which also stars Ben Rappaport. The ensemble comedy is about four young professionals who work and live together in New York. Miller will play Nelson Burke, the genius boss of Burke Architecture. 20th Television is producing.

Worldwide syndicated radio co-host Ellen K of On Air with Ryan Seacrest was selected as the narrator for TLC’s upcoming season of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and for the new series My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding. The new season of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding showcases outrageous weddings and extravagant celebrations of gypsies and travellers living in the UK and debuts on TLC March 23 at 10p. My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding will debut later this spring. Both series are from Firecracker Films. Ellen K is also the broadcast voice for The Grammy Awards, SAG Awards and American Music Awards among other events in addition to her nightly segment Inside Hollywood on KTLA/Los Angeles.

CASTING CALL
A new, untitled series for a major cable network is seeking people who have been on a real date from hell that ended in criminal charges. Examples might include you escaped your date’s violent attack or your date’s ex broke in on you resulting in a death. The show is looking for real stories that are cautionary tales or against all odds survival stories. The cases featured in the program will be verifiable, investigated and adjudicated in a court of law. If you or someone you know has been through this type of date from hell, please send stories to: BADDATESCASTING@AOL.COM and include the name of the daters, names of additional persons involved in the incident, location of the date and when it occurred, describe the crimes that occurred (murder, kidnapping, robbery, etc.), describe how the daters met, any links to news stories concerning the case and your contact information (phone and email).
