The 47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 1 at 8p via CBS. Blake Shelton and Reba will co-host the show for the second straight year.

Soon after announcing it canceled The Martha Stewart Show, Hallmark Channel is in negotiations with Marie Osmond to host a talk show to replace it. Osmond is presently starring in a variety show with her famous brother Donny Osmond in Las Vegas and prior to that appeared as a contestant on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars in 2007. In the recent past, Osmond had considered hosting her own syndicated talk show though the project never came to fruition. Martha Stewart’s program will end its current and final season on Hallmark Channel in May and reruns of The Martha Stewart Show will air throughout the summer. Hallmark Channel is also still in discussions with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia about the renewal of MSLO’s other daytime shows running on the network which includes Emeril’s Table and Mad Hungry with Lucinda Scala Quinn.

HGTV has revealed its 2012 series slate with new and returning shows falling into different categories. Competition series include Price This Place airing Thursdays at 8p; White Room Challenge hosted by David Bromstad begins April 24 at 9p; and HGTV Design Star debuts season seven May 29 at 9p. Design makeover series include Interiors Inc. opening this Saturday at 930p; Beautiful Homes airing Saturdays at 130p; Elbow Room rolls out this May; Auction Queen (wt) begins in July; and Making House premieres in October. HGTV has two renovation series with Home Wreckers on Sundays at 8p and the premiere of new series Going Yard in April. Under the real estate category, HGTV will take viewers to London this summer with the premiere of Selling London in July.

Returning for a fourth season, BBC America bows Being Human on February 25 at 9p as part of the network’s Supernatural Saturday. Being Human is a Touchpaper Television production for the BBC and a BBC America co-production. BBC America also announced it will co-produce a new edition of its crime drama Luther starring Idris Elba who just won a Golden Globe for Best Actor for the series. Luther will be a four-part miniseries and will premiere this year as part of the network’s Dramaville. Luther is a BBC and BBC America co-production and is distributed by BBC Worldwide.
