Beginning this Wednesday, Discovery Channel debuts the new four-part series Combat Cash at 10p. The series centers on Bob Thatt, owner of Vintage Productions and his partner Owen Thornton as they search for military artifacts and collectibles. Two half-hour episodes air this Wednesday followed by two more on January 25.

This Saturday, The Style Network opens its new series Our Big Fat Weight Loss Story chronicling the stories of different families as they pursue a healthy lifestyle. The series begins Saturday with two back-to-back episodes starting at 12 noon.

According to Mad Men star John Hamm, the series will make its fifth season comeback on AMC March 25. Hamm had appeared last Friday on the podcast Doug Loves Movies with Doug Benson where he mentioned Mad Men’s premiere date though no other information. AMC has not confirmed this debut date.

Showtime premiered new series House of Lies on Sunday which delivered 1.03 million total viewers at 10p along with another 384,000 for the 12a encore and 146,000 for the repeat episode at 1a, tallying nearly 1.6 million total viewers for the night. Also on Sunday at 9p, Showtime debuted the sophomore season of Shameless which drew in 1.58 million total viewers, up +61% versus the first season premiere. Shameless also brought in another 475,000 for the 11p episode, totaling 2.06 million for the night. Showtime additionally debuted the fifth season of Californication at 1030p with 758,000 total viewers and another 267,000 total viewers for the repeat episode at 1230a.

Sunday’s season five debut of Ax Men at 9p on HISTORY tallied 2.9 million total viewers; 1.6 million with A25-54; and 1.5 million with A18-49. Following at 10p, HISTORY launched new series Cajun Pawn Stars which exceeded the lead-in and attracted 3.6 million total viewers; 2.0 million among A25-54; and 1.8 million with A18-49 with two back-to-back half-hour episodes. Ax Men is produced by Original Productions for HISTORY and Cajun Pawn Stars is from Leftfield Pictures for HISTORY.
