Daytime’s newest show, The Revolution launches on ABC January 16 at 2p. The one-hour daily talk show is hosted by a team of experts including; Ty Pennington, Tim Gunn, Harley Pasternak, Dr. Jennifer Ashton and Dr. Tiffanie David Henry. Each week the show will follow one woman’s personal journey over a five-month period. The Revolution is produced by 3 Ball Productions/Eyeworks USA, the producers of NBC’s The Biggest Loser and ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition.

Last Friday’s premiere of Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse at 10p on TBS attracted 3.4 million total viewers and 1.8 million with A18-49. The 1030p episode increased to more than 3.4 million total viewers and the A18-49 demo remained steady at 1.8 million.

Also on Sunday, E! debuted a new season of Kourtney & Kim Take New York at 10p which drew in close to 3.2 million total viewers; 2.3 with A18-49; and more than 1.7 million among W18-49. Following at 11p, E! also opened a second season of After Lately which delivered more than 1.2 million total viewers and 937,000 A18-49 viewers.

A nationally syndicated talk show that would have been hosted by reality TV star Bethenny Frankel will NOT happen for fall 2012. The distributor, Telepictures, a unit of Warner Bros. could not secure a commitment from a major US station group for the proposed talk show. Frankel gained fame from several Bravo shows including Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Getting Married and Bethenny Ever After. The series Bethenny Ever After recently wrapped production on a new season and will continue on Bravo.

Darren Pettie (AMC’s Mad Men) is staying in the 1960’s as the actor landed a recurring role on ABC’s Pan Am, per EW. In the ABC drama, Pettie will play airline captain Vince Broyles, considered to be the “ultimate sky god.” Broyles is a former celebrated WWII pilot, though charming, has a dark side.
