On the cusp of their November 1 deadline, Fox Networks and DIRECTV forged a new agreement and no programming or networks will be blacked out on the satellite provider. Both Fox Networks and DIRECTV released a joint statement late yesterday: “Fox Networks and DIRECTV have reached an agreement for DIRECTV to continue carrying all Fox Networks (including FX, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, SPEED, FUEL TV, FOX Soccer, FOX Soccer Plus and FOX Deportes), Fox’s regional sports networks, Fox Broadcasting (FOX), the FOX local stations, Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. We both know the past ten days have been challenging, but we’re pleased that both sides could eventually come together to ensure our viewers continue to enjoy Fox programming.”

Animated comedy Bob’s Burgers received nine additional episodes from FOX. The series will premiere in midseason and is part of FOX’s Animation Domination on Sunday nights. The show stars the voice of H. Jon Benjamin as Bob and guest stars in the next season include Kevin Kline, Sarah and Laura Silverman and Megan Mullally. Bob’s Burgers is from 20th Century Fox Television.

After the World Series Game 7 on FOX clobbered the competition last Friday night, NBC decided to re-air the premiere episodes of Chuck and new series Grimm to give viewers another chance to check out both shows. Chuck and Grimm’s premiere episodes will air this Saturday night.

Handing out a treat for Halloween, FX announced yesterday a renewal order for a second season of American Horror Story with 13 episodes from Twentieth Century Fox Television. Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story has nine remaining new episodes left to air during season one on Wednesdays at 10p. The season concludes with two episodes on December 21.

Film, TV and music star Queen Latifah may get her own talk show in fall 2013. A new daytime syndicated talk show is being developed with Queen Latifah as host from Overbrook Entertainment and Flavor Unit Entertainment in partnership with Sony Pictures Television. Queen Latifah would further serve as executive producer along with her co-founder of Flavor Unit Entertainment, Shakim Compere and Overbrook’s Miguel Melendez, James Lassiter, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

When ABC Daytime’s new daily show The Revolution launches in January, two top health experts will be part of the hosting team. Dr. Jennifer Ashton, a leading OB-GYN and Dr. Tiffanie Davis Henry, Ph.D, psychotherapist and relationship expert will join the other previously announced co-hosts including Ty Pennington, Tim Gunn and celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. Furthermore, Michelle Singletary, author of a personal finance column for the Washington Post will also contribute a weekly financial segment.

Early yesterday, Disney-ABC Television Group said it is extending its licensing pact with Netflix’s streaming video service and also made a new deal with Amazon.com. Under the agreement with Amazon, the company will enlarge its Prime instant videos library with more than 800 titles from Disney-ABC including programming from ABC Family, ABC Studios, The Disney Channel and Marvel. Content will include ABC Family’s Greek and The Secret Life of the American Teenager, ABC’s Lost, Grey’s Anatomy and Felicity, Disney Channel’s Phineas & Ferb and Marvel’s Spider Man and X-Men Evolution. Financial terms of the deal between Amazon and Disney-ABC was not revealed.

James McCaffrey, last seen in FX’s Rescue Me playing a guardian angel, is joining ABC’s primetime soap Revenge in a recurring role, reports TVLine. McCaffrey will play Ryan Huntley, a no-nonsense attorney who represented Lydia’s husband in their nasty divorce. McCaffrey’s role will be introduced in the current season’s tenth episode in January.
