As reported several months ago, NBC is bringing back a revamped and more high-tech version of reality series Fear Factor. Joe Rogan is hosting Fear Factor which will air in a two-hour block at 8p starting December 12 following the season finale of The Sing Off on December 5.

Latin American talent search series iQ’Viva! the Chosen from Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Jamie King, announced yesterday it will air on Univision in the US, Televisa is on board to air the show on its network, Canal de las Estrellas in Mexico and Caracol TV will air it in Colombia. The weekly one-hour series is scheduled to premiere in first quarter 2012 and is being filmed in English, Spanish and Portuguese. iQ’Viva! the Chosen will air simultaneously on 21 networks and more network deals will be forthcoming.

An original new reality series goes inside a famous New York City deli as Family Pickle debuts on RLTV October 26 at 8p. The series is set at the family-owned Carnegie Deli, known for their signature sandwiches and humorous staff led by owners Marian and Sandy Levine. Family Pickle is produced for RLTV by Kevin Kaufman of Pickle Power Productions.

Season three of Pit Bulls & Parolees will premiere on Animal Planet November 12 at 10p. The new 12-episode season revisits Tia Torres and her facility Villalobos, the largest rescue and rehab center in the US for pit bulls staffed by parolees. The series is produced by Rive Gauche Television and 44 Blue Productions for Animal Planet.

ABC tagged Mandy Moore to star in a single-camera comedy, Us and Them and the network has ordered a put-pilot of the family sitcom. Bob Fisher is penning the sitcom and Moore’s manager, Jon LeShay will produce. Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements will serve as executive producers along with Fisher and Shawn Levy who will direct.

Drama pilot script Spellbinder about a teenage girl who can communicate with ghosts was picked up by MTV. Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott wrote the pilot and the project is executive produced by Vin Di Bona, Bruce Gersh and Susan Levison of FishBowl Media.

HBO is close to adding two Academy Award-winning actors to its adaptation of The Corrections. Dianne Wiest has signed on to star in the proposed series and Chris Cooper is near to signing as well. Wiest and Cooper would play the troubled Midwestern parents of three adult children based on the book by Jonathan Franzen. The script would be written by Franzen and Noah Baumbach who would also direct the pilot. Scott Rudin is on board as executive producer. HBO has not yet officially approved the project to pilot.
