Another new face joins CBS’ The Talk when the daytime talk show premieres its second season today. Saturday Night Live alumna Molly Shannon will be part of the talk show’s panel as guest host through the month of September joining returning hosts Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen and Sharon Osbourne and newly-hired host Sheryl Underwood. Previously-announced, Kris Jenner also will appear as a fill-in co-host. It was also official late last week Holly Robinson Peete is not returning as host on The Talk this fall. The actress confirmed on her blog CBS did not ask her to return to the show. Former co-host Leah Remini additionally did not have her contract renewed for season two.

Medical drama HawthoRNe, starring Jada Pinkett Smith was canceled by TNT after three seasons. At the end of its third season, HawthoRNe averaged a 0.7 rating with A18-49 and 2.51 million total viewers, a 22% and 19% decline respectively compared to the second season.

Following a bidding war, ABC is the victor for a comedy project titled How to Live With Your Parents for the Rest of Your Life from Claudia Lonow (Accidentally on Purpose), reports Variety. ABC gave the half-hour project a put-pilot deal about a single mom who moves in with her parents to help raise her daughter. 20th Century Fox Television is producing in association with Imagine TV.
