New original series The Lying Game launches August 15 on ABC Family at 9p. The scripted series introduces identical twins Emma Becker and Sutton Mercer who were separated at birth and grew up in very different circumstances. Fate brings them together and the girls switch places and also work to find their birth parents, uncovering a web of secrets and lies. The one-hour, 10-episode series is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is based on the novels by Sara Shepard (Pretty Little Liars).

NBC’s upcoming midseason comedy Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, the semi-autobiographical series inspired by Chelsea Handler’s memoir, cut three cast members due to creative issues. Those leaving the show are Natalie Morales, Angel Laketa Moore and Jo Koy. Producers of the sitcom are retooling the characters the three women played. Laura Prepon is remaining on the show, playing the title lead.
