Announced at a press conference yesterday in Switzerland, the International Olympic Committee granted NBCUniversal the US television rights to the next four Olympic Games through 2020. The agreement has NBCU paying $4.4 billion for the rights to continue being the US media home of the major global sporting event. FOX and ABC/ESPN also submitted bids for the Olympics.

Last Sunday, Bravo aired the season six finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County tallying 2.88 million total viewers marking the highest-rated episode of the series. In addition the conclusion drew in 1.86 million A18-49 which is the highest-rated episode of the season in this demo. On the heels of these ratings results, Bravo also approved a fourth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and starting June 12 will move the edition to Sundays at 10p.

Original series debut of Switched at Birth on ABC Family Monday at 9p has become the network’s #1 series premiere ever among total viewers with 3.3 million; A18-34 with 1.0 million/1.5 rating; and A18-49 with 1.7 million/1.3 rating. Factoring in an encore airing at 10p Monday,
Switched at Birth brought in a total of 4.9 million unique total viewers that night.
